Smartmart relies on Allen-Bradley PLC technology for real-time control of the various types of vending hardware utilized within each Smartmart unit, along with delivery conveyor controls as well.  Temperature, humidity, and power monitoring are all benefits realized with the help of Allen-Bradley technology.

Smartmart utilizes a Windows-centric architecture based on Windows 2003 Server, SQL Server 2005, and Windows XP/Vista.  Smartmart's software implementations are coded using Visual Studio 2008, taking full advantage of the many features of Microsoft's .NET Framework v2.0-v3.5.

Japan Cash Machine's innovative AD-02 bill changer is the cornerstone of Smartmart's cash accepting/dispensing component.

MagTek's P-Series weatherproof cardreader technology is used for Smartmart's credit and debit card transactions at each shopping port.

MGR Industries ruggedized Triple-DES pinpads utilizing DUKPT are installed at each shopping port to allow customers to safely and securely complete their purchases using their Debit cards. 

Telpar thermal printers at each port offer quick and reliable receipt/coupon printing for customers.

VT Systems (VTS) is an integrated engineering group providing world-class solutions and services in the aerospace, electronics, land systems, and marine sectors. VT SVC (Special Vehicles Corporation) owns Kidron, a leading manufacturer of truck bodies and trailers.  Kidron designs/manufactures the specially modified 53 foot trailer chassis that houses each Smartmart unit.
